BRIDESMAIDS

Isabelle Adrid

Maid of Honor

Isabelle, aka “Rooms,” was my randomly assigned roommate at USD, hence the nickname! We have been there for each other through the good, the bad, and the very bad. Even though she lives across the world from me, our Facetimes and random texting convos keep us so close. I’m so excited that she’ll be standing as my Maid of Honor for my wedding, but I’m even more excited that I’ll get to be her Maid of Honor in her wedding soon after!

Mallory Lumanog

Bridesmaid

Mal is my cousin, and probably my first ever playmate in life, although she mostly picked on me!! From “New York, New York” dance recital routines, to the grown up “Anaconda” –ing, we always seem to have a good time dancing with each other. When she “poofed” her hair (when poofing was in), I poofed too; when she wore huge hoop earrings, I hooped too; when she got a job at the BBB, I followed her and did the same. I am so thankful for her throughout my life!

Catherine Cruz

Bridesmaid

Catherine is also my cousin, who also doubles as a great friend! From our shared addictions of makeup, nursing stories, Dr. Pimple Popper (yes, we are popaholics), and Chip and Jo’s “Fixer Upper,” we always have a fun time laughing our butts off. The both of us also need to cut down on bicep day, as our arm circumferences are getting a little too up there to fit our dresses!

Gerika Whitehurst

Bridesmaid

Gerika and I became friends at dance class when I was about 9 years old, and have been best friends ever since. I can’t even decide which one of our dances together was the most embarrassing: a routine to N’Sync’s “Space Cowboys,” “Speed Racer” (where we held steering wheels and pretended to drive, and dance), tapping to “Sweet Home Alabama,” or, well, all of the above! We really have grown up together, and I am so excited we get to hang out again!!

Coritha Dave

Bridesmaid

Coritha is technically my cousin-in-law, but from the start of us hanging out, we instantly acted like family. She is one of the most sweet, hard-working, and stylish people I know. I was so happy she made the trip out to Vegas for my 21st birthday, where we renamed her “Coco Kardashian” for those long wavy locks. I love how she is ALWAYS down for the Cruz family, learning silly dance routines, and dealing with all our craziness. I was so honored to stand next to her on her wedding day, and I cannot wait for her to stand next to me as well!

Gabrielle Cruz

Jr. Bridesmaid

Gaby is one of the youngest Cruz cousins, but has always acted years beyond her age! She really is my mini-me, and I’ve loved watching her grow up throughout the years. I remember taking care of her when she was a chubby little 4-month-old baby, who would ONLY drink a warm bottle. I was hooked, and in love with this little girl from the start. Gaby is a smart, spunky, strong, and totally sweet young lady; I may be more excited to have her in my bridal party than she is!

GROOMSMEN

Joseph De Los Reyes

Bestman

Joseph and I grew up together all the way from preschool to college. We played on the same basketball teams and even had the same set of friends. Looking through school pictures and yearbooks it amazes me to see how many different stages of our lives we been through together. One day we are still hoping to cash out on the mint condition, autographed, Lebron James trading cards we ordered late night on an infomercial ten years ago.

Angelo Alfiler

Groomsman

Although we are the same age, Angel’s late December birthday had him a grade below than myself. He was part of our dynasty rec basketball days and our sets of friends meshed real well together. It was when we both started driving trucks that we were elected the official “hauling crew” for anyone that needed help moving or dumping trash at the landfill. He has a big heart and always down to help others, just a lil bit crazy on Jack Daniels.

Avery Ocampo

Groomsman

I met “Gofor” around my later days in middle school. He, too, was a fellow baller appearing on different teams at the rec and later in life, taking 1 ½ hour lunch breaks with me just to play basketball at the gym. He showed me the art of customizing your car when he drove a one of a kind Toyota Tercel. The radio sound system in that car was booming so much that it made you want to ride with him to an underground hip hop concert. Not to mention, you could enjoy Gofor’s lyricism at its best once that instrumental drops.

Marvin Guinto

Groomsman

My Kuya has always been a big part of my life being my older brother. I feel like I have learned from him in different ways. When he was in his NWA days in high school, I learned not to live that life (a lil too crazy for me). But now, seeing how he evolved from a navy man into a successful, hard-working family man, mastering nuclear power plant reactors, he proves to me that hard work really pays off.

Jezriel Zapata

Groomsman

On my dad’s side we had a lot of younger cousins growing up, but Jezriel was just a year older, so we got to grow up together. Even though we went to different schools, I would still see him pop up at different music festivals in a racecar (well, more like a fixed up Acura or Honda). I always admired Jezriel’s drive, passion, and business-minded mentality. It actually pushed me to take a chance at my music career in Atlanta.

Justin Gacuya

Groomsman

Justin was always the younger cousin that was always around his older cousins. When he was in middle school, he would hang out with us in high school, and when he was in high school he was partying with us in college. One time, someone on the dance floor believed him for saying he was taking a bachelors degree in Culinary.

Joel Cruz

Jr. Groomsman

When I first met Joel, I noticed he was into djing; that was when we instantly clicked. It was refreshing to see someone younger have a hunger for music, because it reminded me of when I was in high school, hyped on new music and dances. It also impressed me that he was able to explain the structures of different songs. This allowed me to help introduce him to music production.
